It should be noted that this process may be due to numerous external or internal factors that users cannot identify at first sight. The problems may vary, often depending on the area where this is located or from an application that may be causing this overheating. Given this situation, certain measures can be used as prevention of possible crises, although if the problem persists it’s better to go to a technician.
1. Manually check the temperature
One of the fundamental steps to consider before checking what may cause the overheating is temperature measurement. To do this you must follow the relevant steps to check the CPU temperature.
As a first option, it is recommended to enter the BIOS or UEFI to access the system information.
Another option is to download third-party apps that can also indicate this information.
2. Applications that consume resources
Apps can be one of the causes of this overheating, so it is advisable to observe the behavior of these on your computer. One of the hypotheses is that these can consume too many resources, which can cause overheating in the device.
To verify this, the user must first press the following key combination ‘Control + ALT + Delete’. After this step, a second window will open where you can check the percentage of CPU used by each of the applications installed on your computer. It should be noted that in case one of them may be consuming too many resources it is advisable to ‘End Task’.
3. Location of our computer
Another factor to consider is usually the location of our computer, since this may not be suitable for its good use. In the specific case of laptops, it is advisable to not keep it located on surfaces that obstruct the cycle of air circulation, ie ventilation. On the other hand, you also must be consistent with the space provided for desktop computers. For the latter, it is recommended to have a free space, between 5 and 10 centimeters around the CPU.
4. Caution with heat sources
